ARRESTED? ACT FAST TO PROTECT YOUR FREEDOM!
Do not be fooled into thinking there is no hope when the State charges you with a crime. I have been doing this for a long time, and I know every weak point in a criminal charge. Over the years, I have seen far too many individuals think they were backed into a corner by law enforcement and just take a conviction rather than fight their charge. A lawyer needs to investigate many areas in a case thoroughly and, if you do not work with a lawyer that understands these key components, you may reduce your chance of a successful defense.
You need representation that is aggressive, devoted, and adept. You need a lawyer that is up to date on the law and willing to adapt when necessary in these constantly evolving times. You also need an attorney that knows how to conduct himself in front of a jury. I am that guy. Contact me today at 512-457-5200 to schedule a free case evaluation, and I can start putting together a strategy to defend your case

Texas Trial Lawyer
I have been a distinguished and highly regarded criminal attorney since 2000. Before moving to Austin, Texas, in 2006, I served as Deputy District Attorney in both Ventura and Orange County, California. Before opening my practice, I managed the Orange County, California office of renowned DUI defense attorney Myles L. Berman. In my twenty-year career, I have tried over one hundred criminal cases. I have represented high profile business people, executives, musicians, actors, athletes, and celebrities. I am, in short, battle-tested. I have the experience, skill, tenacity, and perspective necessary to obtain the best result possible for my clients.
A Reputation as Lawyer's Lawyer
I am known as a lawyer's lawyer because my fellow attorneys consult with me and refer their criminal defense matters to me. I have frequently tried cases for many prominent law firms on a case by case basis. The Los Angeles City Fire Department and Costa Mesa Police Department Unions regularly sent me cases when one of their members or members or family members got in trouble. As a prosecutor, I trained law enforcement officers in the investigation of crimes, report writing, and testifying in court. This unmatched experience gives me the ability to understand how these professional witnesses approach both their job and testifying in court.

Important Information About Your Killeen DWI Charge
If law enforcement has arrested you for DUI or DWI, you have 15-days from the date of arrest to contact DPS to schedule an Administrative License Review Hearing (ALR). Failure to do so will lead to the automatic suspension of your Texas driver's license. Ideally, you will hire a competent attorney during these 15 days, and he or she will schedule the hearing for you. If not, you will need to do so on your own to avoid suspension.
If DPS suspends your license as a result of a failure to schedule your ALR Hearing or as the result of an adverse ruling after your ALR Hearing, I can prepare an Occupational License on your behalf.
Dealing With Military Charges at Fort Hood
As a proud member of the United States Army, you have dedicated your life to defending your country. If you are facing military criminal charges or even under investigation, you need an attorney that is equally committed to protecting your rights.
In the military, there are both criminal charges and conduct charges. Conduct charges can arise from specific actions committed by a member of the army even though that conduct would not be a crime in the civilian world. Criminal charges can occur when a member of the military commits a criminal act either while on-post or while off-post.
It is possible, although not very common, for a member of the military to commit an act off-post and be prosecuted both by the military and the civilian courts. While a conduct charge may not carry private consequences (such as being labeled a felon or registering as a sex offender), having a conduct charge sustained against you will, nevertheless, have significant ramifications on your career.
The military justice process is different from the civilian State and Federal court systems. In the military justice system, whether you retain private counsel or not, in most cases, you will be appointed a lawyer from the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps. These court-appointed lawyers are licensed attorneys and familiar with the ins and outs of military law. It is often to your benefit to have a civilian attorney retained as well. It is essential, however, that this retained lawyer understands the inter-workings of the military to ensure that your rights are protected. If your retained lawyer does not have military knowledge, you may get pushed through the military justice system without all avenues of your defense being explored and exhausted.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for those who have served. Due to stop loss, I served over nine years in the United States Army and Army Reserve as a Psychological Operations Specialist (37F). I was an enlisted soldier and did time at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and Darmstadt, Germany, along with an eight-month deployment to Bosnia in 1995 and 1996. I was also prepped for deployment to Iraq in February 2003 due to stop-loss before ultimately receiving my Honorable Discharge in April 2003.
If an investigator has questioned you or an investigator told you that he wants to speak with you, you should retain experienced legal counsel promptly. You may or may not be afforded representation from the JAG Corps during the infancy of an investigation. If you have not given a statement, you should not until you have discussed the matter with counsel. Sometimes admitting to the most innocent fact can be to your detriment.
Immediate action is needed to ensure the best possible defense, even if you do not know if they plan on bringing charges. You need an attorney whether you believe you have done anything wrong or not. If the military has questioned you already, or you are aware an investigator is looking to talk; you must retain experienced legal counsel promptly.
